Vinyasa Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is a contemporary style of yoga where the positions flow into one another. The movements are synchronised with breath and are only held for a brief period. Vinyasa allows for creativity in terms of the movements but always includes sun salutations. Some of the benefits of Vinyasa include enhancement of core stability, improvement in range of motion and mobility, stress reduction, increased flexibility and lung capacity as well as strengthening of the immune system. The yoga room is heated to 32-35°C and the class lasts an hour in total. The heat allows for the muscles to warm in order to prevent injury. The class is led by either Flavia Ghidossi or Pelin Fedakar who are both highly experienced yoga instructors specialising in Vinyasa and many other disciplines of yoga. Please note that this style of yoga is not recommended for individuals who have not exercised in a long time due to the intensity of Vinyasa and the temperature of the yoga room.

Know Before You Go

It is recommended that you drink plenty of still water before and after the class and do not eat anything heavy 2-3 hour prior to the class commencing. In terms of clothing, light breathable sportwear is most suitable for this style of yoga. It is also advised that you bring two large towels, one for exercising and one for showering. Please note that the studio is a barefoot zone and shoes can be stored in one of the lockers. A yoga mat is also essential and is provided free of charge at the studio.
